Testimonial

"You are so awesome with the kids. I’ve never seen them respond to someone right away like that. During the daddy song I looked around and realized how much you touched them. I can’t thank you enough for blessing my kids." –Steph (Central Community Church)

Outreach/Schools

Introducing Dave Scherer’s Hip Hop Outreach

A new and exciting approach to reaching your students with important life messages in a way that they really get it.

Using Rhythmic American Poetry (RAP), an increasingly popular mode of expression, Dave Scherer (a.k.a. Agape) has touched hundreds of thousands of young people, inspiring them to achieve their highest potential.

David custom designs an event for your specific situation blending discussion, performance and student/faculty participation. Working with David before your event, you can select a “curriculum” from the following topics which addresses you and your specific situation:

Health Issues
Using Dave’s background as a peer educator with Teenage Medical Service, Dave educates young people about health issues that affect them. Previous topics have included sex, eating disorders, and depression.

Diversity
Dave uses his proficiency in Spanish and his experience in attending the most diverse high school in Minnesota to reach every student, regardless of ethnicity. The theme: honoring differences.

Decision Making
This program stresses the importance of staying drug and alcohol free and standing strong.

Dave does not preach at young people, but shares with them in a way that empowers them to make the right decisions.

Self Esteem
Using the power of positive thinking, along with his own stories of self discovery, Dave encourages students to discover their unique gifts and a sense of self worth.

Conflict Resolution
Drawing on his six-years experience as a conflict mediator, he teaches youth how to understand each other and handle their conflicts in a constructive way.
Dave has worked with the following organizations:
